What is ranch? - Ranch is a salad dressing, a dip, a seasoning, a condiment and more! Traditionally, it is a salad dressing made with buttermilk, mayonnaise and spices, but it can take many forms.
What is the difference between ranch dressing and ranch dip? - Ranch dip is generally thicker and is made with sour cream instead of buttermilk. In some cases it is mixed with mayo and in others it is just sour cream and the ranch seasoning.
What goes good with ranch? - Anything! Ranch goes great with salads, pizza, fries, onion rings, potato skins, etc.
When was ranch invented? - Ranch was created in the mid '50s by Steve and Gayle Henson at their ranch near Santa Barbara, CA.
